  • Our New Bookings Manager, Perth Races and Scone Palace....
  • Hello Everyone!

It’s exciting news here in the Alexander Residence office as its Nicola writing rather than Pauline!   We’re remaining the plush, family run business you know and love but as Pauline’s business ventures expand I’m taking care of the day to day management and standards in AR.  I’ve been part of the team for over a year and I feel passionately about delivering 5-star service and standards to our guests, their family and friends.

I’m not from Perth but followed my heart up here from Manchester and have made this my home.  I love the small city with the big personality.  There is so much to do and see; we’re never in the house! One of my favourite tourist attractions though (I’ve been three times!) is Scone Palace. I adore the opulence and the grandeur of this magnificent building and the grounds are just stunning.  They are famously home to Moot Hill, crowning place of Scottish Kings and you can feel the history and majesty as you walk round.  They also have one of Scotland’s oldest trees in the Pinetum – I couldn’t believe the size of it!

So in my first job as AR manager I thought we’d give everyone the chance to visit Scone Palace and the Grounds! All next week on Facebook we’ll be giving away tickets for a visit – we have 20 tickets in total and all admit 2 people! Make sure you click on for your chance to win!

Sticking to this side of the River, I’ll never forget my first visit to Perth Racecourse.  The girls from the office headed out for Ladies Day last year and we had an amazing time.  It was a proper dress up girlie occasion with big hats and fantastic fascinators! I loved every minute! We all started the day in AR with champagne and canapés served up by our fab caterers. Then just a quick hop, skip and jump and we were over the water (as they say here in Perth!).   I didn’t win much I have to say, but that’s because I place my bet based on the jockey’s outfit or how cute the horses’ braids are! We did have a few high rollers in the party who treated us to a slap up dinner back at 63 Tay Street so my meagre few pounds were safely tucked away!

I can recommend it highly and, I’m glad to say, we still have some availability over the race meetings scheduled. Have a look on their website for the dates… And if you do book I’ll see you there!

As always, I’d be delighted to hear your feedback on the site, the apartments and Perth Attractions! If you haven’t joined the mailing list then why not sign up now? I’ve just sent out a great offer for a FREE driver and car to get you to the Race Course Meetings in 2013! Sign up next week and I’ll send it over to you!

I look forward with pleasure to seeing you at Alexander Residence very soon,

    Nicola S
